Each ReceivablesPro Useris assigned a role that provides a set of functional permissions that limit access to the system.
ReceivablesPro includes five built-in roles that cannot be edited: Administrator, User, Office Manager, Sales/Service Provider, and Accountant/Analyst.
The “Administrator” role provides access to all system functions. This is the role permanently assigned to the Master Administrator User. (See About the Master Administrator above.)
The “User” role provides access to all payment processing, invoicing, and reporting functions, but does not provide access to User Management or system configuration functions located in the Settings section.
The “Office Manager” role provides access to all payment processing, invoicing and customer management functions, but does not provide access to reporting, User management, or system configuration functions located in the Settings section.
The “Sales/Service
Provider” role only enables entering new payments, payment
schedules, invoices, and invoice schedules (via manual entry or import).
It does not permit making changes to Customer Records, or making changes
to existing payment schedules, invoices, or invoice schedules. It
also does not provide access to any system reporting or system management
functions.
NOTE: If a user assigned the “Sales/Service
Provider” role starts seeing permission errors while attempting to
work in the system, a good work around is to create a custom role
that provides both the “Collect Payments & Send Invoices” permission
AND the “Manage Customers” permission-- this will in most cases solve
the problem without providing significantly more system access. (See
Add
Roles for instructions
on how to create a custom role.)
The “Accountant/Analyst” role only provides access to system reporting. This is a view-only role that also includes the ability to create custom reports.
You can also create custom roles that contain any combination of available role components. Once a custom role is created, it can be assigned to any user except the Master Administrator User.

The
Roles configuration screen includes a “Manage Appointments” permission,
which is applied to the Administrator and other built-in roles. |
Role Management is accessed from the roles tab in the Settings section.
The following sections provide detailed information about the components available for roles, as well as how to assign, view, add, edit and delete roles.
